OUR METHODOLOGY

Teaching at Sangam is student centered. Teachers creatively prepare the lessons applying it to everyday life, thus ensuring students are enthralled in the class. Students are given every opportunity to learn, explore and discover the hidden and the unnoticed. There is a spirit of free enquiry developed among them. Students are involved in interesting, interactive and applicable activities. Rather than mugging,  it  is comprehending and application  that are stressed at through classroom discussions, creative writing and  imaginative activities. Integration of technology and visual aids  into the teaching process  is imperative at Sangam. We strive  to make a Knowledge Creating Society  rather  than  just a Knowledge Gaining one.Teaching at Sangam is student centered. HANDS-ON LEARNING

In our methodology, the students  in a classroom are active participants rather than passive  learners. The classroom sessions are activity oriented to ensure the complete involvement of the students in the total learning experience which enhances their ability to think critically. The subject  labs (Science, Math, Language, and Social Studies) bring home to students the first hand experience through the trial and error method. They are guided and allowed the freedom to explore. The labs are equipped with  the  latest apparatus as well as  the security measures  to ensure safety and well being of our young  learners.

THE ‘3-L’ POLICY

School follows a  ‘3-L’ (Three Languages) Policy. Hindi  is taught as the mother tongue to all children of  Indian Origin. English  is the medium of instruction in and around the school. Students are encouraged and supported to improve on their English language skills. School understands the different linguistic needs of non- native speakers of English language and supports them through Language Lab teaching and  intensive Grammar Support classes. The school offers Sanskrit and French as options  for  the  third  language  to grades VI  through VIII.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

The key strategy at Sangam involves engaging student voice  in active roles for the purpose of learning. Teachers are adept  in using tools  like games, simulation, role plays, debates, portfolios, symposium and presentations. Teachers act as facilitators, identifying diverse  learning styles of students and providing  requisite  feedback  to  individuals.
